Natterjack ToadBritain’s rarest amphibian can be found in Dumfries & Galloway at the northernmost limit of its range at Powfoot, WWT Caerlaverock and RSPB Mersehead. This small olive green toad can be up to 6cm in length with a distinctive thin yellow stripe on its back from the nose to the vent.
